Salary: $41,900 + depending on experience
Qualifications: Masters degree in counseling, social work, psychology or mental health related field required.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience with individuals with severe mental illness.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provide assessment and mental health counseling services to adults with mental illness in the Escambia County jail. Complete assessments of inmates for mental health issues, prepare treatment plans and provide appropriate counseling services. Coordinate services with the case manager, physician, and surrounding mental health centers to insure follow-up services upon release back to the community. Provide crisis consultations to local hospitals and probate court via telehelath as needed. Assist with court petitions and hospital placements as needed. Provide on-call crisis services as scheduled on agency wide rotation list.
