The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is a free consulting service that provides information about job accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the employability of people with disabilities. A wide variety of helpful information is available here, including ideas for how employers can accommodate disabled and ill employees' needs, disability law, disabled person's employment resources, etc. A great site and highly recommended. Sponsored by the Office of Disability Employment Policy and the Department of Labor.

Provides publications and information on various eye diseases including macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, corneal disease, retinitis pigmentosa, amblyopia/strabismus, uveitis, as well as general information. Also funds research.

The Low Vision Gateway was created to be your starting point to access information on the World Wide Web related to the fields of low vision and blindness. This extensive database links you to a variety of organizations and companies serving the visually impaired. Each link is accompanied by a description and is catalogued by type.
This site provides a collection of articles about hearing loss including causes, deaf community and culture resources, technology assistance and more. The information is thorough, yet readable.
Deaf Resource Library
The Deaf Resource Library is an online collection of reference material and links intended to educate and inform people about Deaf cultures in Japan and the United States; as well as deaf and hard of hearing related topics. Site includes articles for the communitity, research topics by Ph.D and Masters students in U.S. and Japan, and an extensive list of links.
